Sleepless in Hamburg?

May 22, 2015

Sleepless in Hamburg?Hamburg has in recent years seen rent levels increase in the extreme. Students have suffered particularly with many unable to find appropriate affordable accommodation.

The department of Geography at the University of Kiel is, as part of a PhD thesis, investigating this impact on students in Hamburg's housing market. The focus question is: how do students find appropriate living accommodation?

For this purpose we are looking for students who have moved to or within Hamburg in the last 18 months, who are interested to participate in a short interview of approximately 45 minutes in duration.

We are particularly interested in the perspective of foreign students and understanding their specific needs and challenges.

If you are interested in contributing to the improvement of the student housing situation here in Hamburg please follow  this link.
